Many of our members that train with us are either novices or seasoned boxers who have hit a plateau and are looking for more ways to learn technical boxing skills. More often than not, even athletes stick to our Boxing Conditioning program because it offers them the ability to work on certain aspects of boxing while they are not training for a competition.

Why is our Boxing Conditioning class the most sought-after program at our studio in Burnaby?
Our Boxing Conditioning program is the perfect boxing maintenance training. As a beginner, you will learn how to incorporate boxing techniques on the heavy bags, as well as do strength and conditioning exercises to give you a tough but fun and highly satisfying workout.

As an athlete, joining our Boxing Conditioning classes for at least 1-3x a week will give you the needed boxing workout to maintain your physique and physical conditioning.

Who is perfect for our Boxing Conditioning program?
While athletes benefit from our Boxing Conditioning program, it is more ideal for people who want to get their workout in while training for self-defence. This program will help you learn the basics of boxing by developing your boxing techniques and working on your flexibility, strength, and endurance – all while cutting some unwanted weight!

What aspects of Boxing can you learn when you join our Boxing Conditioning program?

1. Cardio

One of the most important aspects of boxing conditioning is cardio. A boxer needs to have strong cardiovascular endurance in order to go the distance in a fight.

There are a variety of ways to improve muscle strength, such as lifting weights, doing bodyweight exercises, and using resistance bands – all of which can be done at our studio!

3. Flexibility

Flexibility is another important aspect of boxing conditioning. A boxer needs to be able to move freely and without restriction in order to avoid getting hit by the opponent’s punches.

4. Coordination

Another important aspect of boxing conditioning is coordination. A boxer needs to be able to coordinate their movements in order to deliver punches effectively by being precise with the execution of their skills! There are a variety of ways to improve coordination, such as practicing punching drills, shadowboxing, and working on a heavy bag  – which we all do at Beyond Boxing in Burnaby, BC.
